Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Job Summary : We are looking for a strategic and experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the company’s financial planning, accounting, taxation, compliance, fundraising, and risk management functions. The CFO will play a key role in business strategy, project financing, cash flow planning, and ensuring financial discipline across all real estate projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Strategy & Leadership 

• Develop and execute the company’s financial strategy aligned with business goals and expansion plans.
• Act as a strategic advisor to the Managing Director and leadership team.
• Lead long-term financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Support business growth, land acquisitions, and project feasibility analysis.
• Build strong financial systems, controls, and governance frameworks.

2. Financial Planning, Budgeting & MIS 

• Lead annual budgeting, financial forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Monitor Actual vs Budget performance across projects and departments.
• Provide Monthly MIS, financial dashboards, and strategic insights.
• Conduct project profitability, ROI, and cost analysis.
• Oversee weekly and monthly cash flow forecasting and working capital planning.

3. Accounting & Financial Reporting 

• Oversee end-to-end accounting operations across all projects and branches.
• Ensure timely:
  • General Ledger closure
  • Trial Balance preparation
  • Monthly, Quarterly & Annual Financial Statements
• Supervise:
  • Revenue recognition as per project milestones
  • Fixed asset accounting
  • Inter-company and branch accounting
  • Vendor, bank, and debtor reconciliations
• Finalize Balance Sheet and financial statements with auditors and management.

4. Project Finance & Real Estate Financial Management 

• Manage project-wise budgeting, costing, and fund utilization.
• Ensure milestone-based billing and demand generation.
• Monitor customer collections, receivables, and debtor aging.
• Plan and manage project funding, construction finance, and loan utilization.
• Coordinate with Sales, CRM, Legal, Projects, and Corporate teams for financial alignment.

5. Taxation & Regulatory Compliance 

Oversee all direct and indirect tax compliance:

• Income Tax
• GST
• TDS
• RERA Financial Compliance

 Lead:

• Tax planning and tax-saving strategies
• Income tax return filings
• Tax audits and statutory audits
• Handling scrutiny assessments and notices 

6. Audits & Compliance 

Lead and manage:

• Statutory Audits
• Internal Audits
• Tax Audits

 

 

• Ensure strong compliance and risk management practices. 
• Implement internal financial controls and SOPs.  

7. Treasury & Fund Management 

• Manage banking relationships and financial institutions.

Oversee:

• Fundraising and project financing
• Loan structuring and negotiations
• Investor relations and reporting
• Optimize working capital and liquidity management.

8. Accounts Payable & Receivable Oversight

•  Supervise vendor payments as per credit terms.

• Ensure invoice verification and vendor reconciliation.

• Oversee customer billing, collections, and outstanding control.

9. Team Leadership 

• Lead and mentor the Accounts, Finance, Taxation, and MIS teams.
• Build a high-performance finance department.
• Drive automation and digital transformation in finance processes.

Skills & Requirements

• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and taxation.
• Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong leadership and team supervision ability.
• High attention to detail and deadline management.

Qualifications & Experience

Qualification

• Chartered Accountant (Mandatory)

Experience

• 15+ years of post-qualification experience
• Minimum 8+ years in leadership/heading finance role
• Must have Real Estate / Construction industry experience
• Experience in handling multiple real estate projects and project financing

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of GST, TDS, Income Tax & RERA compliance
• Expertise in financial planning, budgeting, and fundraising

Salary: Annual Package up to 24 lakh
